I really love the shape, movement and color of purple wild iris. In this painting the flowers are the subject of the waterscape, their bold lines just barely breaking through the Art-Deco-ish border. I used transparent watercolors to paint and black India Ink to outline for this painting; the results glow like a stained glass window.
