about Katrina Meister
Drawing and painting has always been a part of me. Partway through earning a degree in Psychology I discovered I had as many credits in Fine Art as Psych; so I finished Bachelors degrees in both at the University of Oregon. I started Katrina’s Cards in 2000 by walking into our locally owned bookstore with a handful of newly printed cards. In 2005 my husband stepped in to help and the business has supported our family ever since - and that bookstore still sells my cards.
I am fascinated with color, line and movement in my paintings; always aiming to portray the essence of the subject while finding the magic in the art that can lift the spirit. Lifting the spirit is always the goal; whether from dropping a single card in the mail or hanging an original painting that sings to someone's soul every time they see it.
I draw great joy from what I do, and appreciate every single one of my customers who make continuing this journey possible.
Thank you. -Katrina

From beginning my cards have been printed on post-consumer recycled paper.
Most of my card line is now packaged in bio-degradable sleeves (I recommend you do not get them wet unless you want them to bio-degrade).
