Monarch on Map | Set of Six Notecards
I used Sumi Ink and Chinese watercolor to paint this Monarch Butterfly on a map of its wintering grounds. I have recently been painting on found papers such as book pages and sheet music. I love the way the print peeks through the painted image, it creates a unique layering in the artwork.
